I'm a Blue Badge Tourist Guide, that means I have passed the Institute of Tourist Guiding's challenging two-year training program. When I passed I got a badge just like the one you see here.
Before entering the guiding business I worked as an exhibition designer and translator in Germany. I spent most of my time researching, writing or translating all those little (and large) information panels that help you understand what you're looking at in museums, art galleries and historic buildings. I soon realised, however, that what I really wanted to do was tell you all about them face-to-face!
I'm widely travelled and have visited many of the world's best known, and least known, sites. If torn between a beach holiday and a city break I will always choose the bright lights and the tooting cars of the city. Aside from my daily work as a guide I'm a keen football and cycling enthusiast. I also love a good trip to the cinema or to one of London's umpteen music venues.
I look forward to seeing you in London or one of our wonderful English towns very soon!
